RULES.

1.                  The Competition is open to all Public Houses, Clubs and Organisations in the Sittingbourne postal area with adequate facilities for playing the game of 8 Ball Pool and who have been approved by The Leagues Committee.

2.                  The Competition is open to both Men and Women over 16 years of age.

3.                  The Competition will be a 3 Man Team Event to be played on a Monday evening throughout the Summer months.

4.                  Entry Fee for The Competition will be £10 per team

5.                  A Team may register as many players as they wish for the above set fee.

6.                  Once a player has played for one team they may not transfer or play for any other team in the League for the rest of the Competition.

7.                  For the first round of the Competition teams entered will be divided by means of a draw into Groups, each team will play all the other teams in their Group once only.

8.                  All games will be played at a neutral venue (except where two teams play for the same venue) selected by The League and no change of venue will be permitted.

9.                  A Team will consist of 3 players and each player of the team will play a Singles Game against the 3 players from the opposing team. Therefore each player plays 3 frames making a total of 9 frames per match.

10.              The first game of a match will start at 8-00pm sharp.

11.              In order to play a match, a team must field at least 2 (two) players. Failing to do so will result in the loss of the match by a score of 9 (nine) frames to Nil

12.              A team may forfeit a frame if they are not present at 8-00pm. Further frames will be forfeited at 15 minutes intervals up until 9-00pm. Should a team not be present by 9-00pm then they will forfeit the match.

13.              Captains will enter their 3 players names in their order of play on the result sheet for the first 3 frames, and then frames should be played in the order as listed on the result sheet.

14.              Games to be Refereed alternatively by each team (toss for first frame).

15.              Both Captains to complete a Result Sheet and make sure it is filled in correctly. The Result Sheet to be sent into The League Headquarters (The Ship Inn, East Street) by the Friday following the match.

16.              3 Points will be awarded for each match to the winning team.

17.              The top two teams in each group will go through to the next stage of the Competition, plus the best 2 third placed teams. As the groups have an uneven number of teams the score against the bottom team in Group A will be ignored when calculating the best 2 third places.

18.              In the event of 2 teams having the same points and frame difference, then the team that beat the other when they met be deemed the winners and will go through to the next round.

19.              All subsequent rounds will be played on a straight knockout basis with the winning team proceeding through to the next round.

20.              All other Rules concerning match procedure, objections etc, where they may apply are as laid down in The Sittingbourne & District Pool League Rules as for the normal Winter League Games
